What is the difference between standard quick-release straps and Quickfit Straps?
While the biggest difference between them is the spring bars and the quick equipment. Most of spring bars in standard quick release straps have a 1.5mm or 1.8mm diameters, while most of Garmin Quickfit spring bars are 2.0mm, some are 1.8mm or 2.2mm, and Quickfit spring bars are locked into the watch by screws. Standard quick release watch bands come together with spring bars, the quicker-release spring bars are inside of the straps, so you don’t need other spring bars; while the Quickfit straps don’t come with spring bars, most of the time you can keep the original spring bar and push them Quickfit strap onto the spring bar to security it.
Is the standard quick-release strap interchange with Quickfit strap?
Well, standard quick release straps are not recommended to watch which is compatible with Quickfit straps. The customer would find the spring bars are easy to slide out if they use the standard strap for Garmin Forerunner 945, this is because the spring bars of the standard strap is small, and its not able to lock up. While a Garmin Forerunner 265 can be compatible with 22mm Quickfit straps.
